Children's Research Hospital

The Noyes Brain Tumor Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide funding to the brain tumor program at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The funding will be utilized for both brain tumor research and treatment. Founded in 2007, this foundation is staffed entirely by a dedicated group of volunteers.

The foundation was begun by the Noyes family in 2007 after their son, Matthew, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in 2002. He received treatment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. On April 27th, Matt lost his battle to his disease. The Noyes family continues to be passionate about supporting research and treatment that will provide better outcomes for children with brain tumors. Through these efforts, they will continue to keep Matt's spirit alive.

Although overall survival rates in childhood malignancies has made a dramatic improvement in the last 20 years, pediatric brain tumor treatment and subsequent survival rates have not been as successful. In fact, pediatric brain tumors have the highest mortality rate of all pediatric malignancies. Those children who survive their cancer treatment often have profound learning and physical disabilities which impact their overall quality of life. This is the result of aggressive treatment on a child's developing brain.

The funds raised for the brain tumor program at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will promote the development of novel treatment protocols in order to provide a better survival outcome and side effect profile for children with this devastating illness.

The Noyes Brain Tumor Foundation also includes the "Dentist With A Dream Program." One hundred percent of the net proceeds raised from the foundation will be designated for direct patient treatment and research efforts for the brain tumor program at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN
